MediaPortal ist eine Open-Source-Lösung für ein modernes Multimedia-Center mit diversen Möglichkeiten zum Hören, Ansehen und Verwalten von Medien, zum Fernsehen oder zum Abrufen von Wetterinformationen, Nachrichten sowie weiterer Informationen aus dem Internet. Durch die Möglichkeit der Erweiterung mittels Plugins kann es beliebig den eigenen Wünschen angepasst werden. Due to the plugin concept the multimedia center can be extended with a wide range of extensions.
